Position: Bike Mechanic / Salesperson

Job Description: Ideal Bike is busy, growing bike shop in Belleville, Ontario with a satellite location in Wellington Prince Edward County. We’re looking for an experienced, mature bicycle mechanic to join our team. We are a full sales and service shop, so you must have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a bike shop.
You will be required to carry out some or all of the following:
assembling new bikes
bicycle repairs
identifying faults, damage and wear
repairing and/or replacing damaged or worn-out components
wheel truing
fitting accessories
safety checks
advising customers regarding work required
estimating costs (labour and parts) and providing customer quotes
service writing
dealing with customer queries and offering product or general cycling advice
liaising with suppliers and dealers
Some selling will also be required...We are not only a Trek, Salsa, Opus and other brand dealer, but we also sell Skateboards/Longboards, and rent bicycles as well/

the ability to work unsupervised
good customer service skills
an engaging, friendly and positive attitude
an interest in cycling and knowledge of local cycling routes
Computer skills are an asset.

This is a seasonal full-time position, moving to part-time in the off-season. Wage to be determined.
