Position: Bicycle Service Technician
Job Description: What you will do in this role:
-Ensuring customers are receiving excellent service and the products they need for safe, enjoyable cycling, skiing, and snowboarding
-Actively complete work orders for customer bikes, act as a service writer and build bikes as needed
-Continuously updating knowledge of bike mechanics and maintenance
-Working collaboratively with service shop staff
-Assembling, maintaining and repairing bikes within Skiis & Biikes' productivity, quality, and safety guidelines
-Assisting customers in selecting appropriate parts, accessories, and services to meet their needs and ensure their cycling experiences are safe and enjoyable
-Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
-Answers phone inquiries as required
-Working collaboratively as a contributing member of the Skiis & Biikes Team to create an excellent customer service experience
Requirements for this role:
-Passion for cycling
-Mechanical aptitude
-Strong teamwork skills and team orientation
-Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
-Demonstrated organization and time management skills
-Retail and/or customer service experience considered an asset
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-Work well under pressure
-Availability to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday
-Knowledgeable about latest bike equipment and technologies considered an asset
-Bike mechanic technical training considered an asset
-Experience working with a variety of bikes i.e. kids bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes etc. Knowledgeable about latest bike equipment and technologies considered an asset
-1-2 years experience in bike assembly, repair and maintenance in a bike shop preffered
