Position: BIKE/SKI & SNOWBOARD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Job Description: What you will do in this role:
• Service a wide variety of bikes, skis and snowboards (training provided)
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate parts, accessories, and services to meet their needs and ensure their cycling, ski and snowboard experiences are safe and enjoyable
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Assemble, maintain and repair bikes within Skiis & Biikes' productivity, quality, and safety guidelines
• Mount ski and snowboard bindings, tune and repair skis and snowboards within Skiis & Biikes' productivity, quality, and safety guidelines
• Continuously update knowledge of ski and bike mechanics and maintenance
• Ensure customers are receiving excellent service and the products they need for safe, enjoyable cycling, skiing, and snowboarding
• Answer phone inquiries
• Work collaboratively as a contributing member of the Skiis & Biikes Team to create an excellent customer service experience
Requirements for this role:
• Mechanical aptitude
• Strong teamwork skills and team orientation
• Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated organization and time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Work well under pressure
• Availability to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday
• Retail and/or customer service experience considered an asset
• Bike or ski mechanic technical training considered an asset
